Facility Connection Requirements

These procedures and requirements shall apply to all new projects (generation over 100kw and/or new loads equal to or exceeding 2500 kw) that wish to connect to the Cowlitz PUD System. Additionally, these requirements shall apply to all facility expansions or substantive modifications of existing facilities currently connected to the Cowlitz PUD System.

• Generating facilities with peak generating capability less than 100 kW should follow the procedures contained in Cowlitz PUD’s “Interconnection Standards Policy – Interconnection of Electric Generators (Generating Capacity of Not More Than 100 Kilowatts)”
• New end-use loads with Maximum Demand less than 2500 kW should follow the procedures contained in the following:

  • Generation Study Request Form (PDF)
